Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the Picks & Shovels Research website handles information when you visit, and what happens when you contact us through WhatsApp. We have kept the policy short and plain on purpose.
Cookies and tracking technologies
This website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as Google Analytics and advertising-measurement tags, including Google Ads conversion tracking where installed). These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data — for example which pages are viewed, for how long, and from which general region or ad campaign a visit arrived — in order to understand how the page is used and to improve our content and advertising relevance.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They do not give us access to your identity, your contacts, your messages or anything else on your device. You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the website will continue to work without them.
What this page does not collect
The page itself sets no forms and asks for no names, phone numbers, email addresses or account details. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to third parties.
WhatsApp conversations
When you tap a WhatsApp button, the conversation happens inside WhatsApp, under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy (published by WhatsApp / Meta). We receive only the messages you choose to send us there. You can delete the chat record and leave at any time, and you will receive no phone calls from us.
Third-party services
This website and its handbook delivery rely on third-party services — such as Google (Fonts, Analytics, Ads) and WhatsApp / Meta — each of which processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read those policies if you have concerns about a specific service.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics data is retained only as long as needed for the measurement purposes described above. WhatsApp chat history is retained within WhatsApp according to your own settings; we do not archive it elsewhere.
Your choices
You can: control or delete cookies through your browser settings; browse this site with a private or incognito window; use browser extensions that block trackers; and delete any WhatsApp conversation with us at any time. None of these choices affects your access to the free handbook.
State privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. Residents of other states may have comparable rights under state law, such as the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. Because this page collects no personal information through forms and sells no data, these rights are largely informational here — but you may contact us at the address below at any time to ask what, if anything, we hold about you.
Changes to this policy
If we add, change or remove tracking tools or data practices, we will update this page and revise the date below. Material changes will be reflected in the summary shown in the footer of the main page.
